The Villarreal Academy ('Ciudad Deportiva') is one of the most notable football complexes in Europe. With 70,000 sq. metres and nine football pitches it is the main training arena not only for the first team, but also the reserves and youth teams. It also has a residential facility for the young boys of the youth academy, who come from all parts of the world in order to develop as soccer players and young men. The facility is located in cami Miralcamp, close to the town of Villarreal, and the club encourages its supporters to observe and enjoy the day-to-day training whilst also using the facilities to promote and engage community involvement.

Trainingsfaciliteiten

Villarreal C.F. Ciudad Deportiva has three natural grass pitches, all of which have floodlights. One of them is used for the training by the first team. The other two are used by the reserves to train and play their matches. One pitch can accommodate almost 3,000 supporters. There is also a new generation artificial grass field, of 90 x 60 metres, which has the possibility of becoming two soccer-7 fields. The other eight football pitches are supported by substantial changing room facilities which can accommodate several football teams and officials. Villarreal Academy also has a five-a-side football pitch and a smaller pitch for younger children.

Het gebied

De Costa del Azahar aan de oostkust van Spanje, net boven Valencia, is niet heel erg bekend. Toch is het heel mooi gebied met zeer schone natuur, veel zachte zandstranden met rotsachtige kleine baaien en landinwaarts vind je veel ongerepte natuur. De regio van Castellon heeft 6 natuurreservaten. Slechts op een paar kilometer van het hotel vind je het reservaat Desierto de los Palmes met een hoogste van 729 meter (Bartolo). Vanaf hier is er een spectaculair uitzicht op de middellandse zee en de steden Castellon en Benicasim.
